Who Are We?

The Gorge Magazine is a quarterly magazine showcasing life in the Columbia River Gorge. From its western edge near Portland and Vancouver to Goldendale and Biggs Junction in the east, the Columbia River Gorge is one of the most unique regions in the country. Its dozen cities and towns, each with its own intriguing personality, are nestled among hundreds of thousands of acres of public land encompassing some of the most breathtaking scenery on Earth. So extraordinary is the Columbia Gorge that Congress, a quarter century ago, designated this 85-mile stretch the nation’s first National Scenic
Area. This uncommon landscape draws people here for many reasons: the stunning beauty, world-class recreation, a vibrant arts scene, orchard and farm life, a burgeoning wine scene, the pleasures of rural living in progressive communities—the lifestyle that encompasses all of these things. The Gorge Magazine explores the essence of this lifestyle, of what it means to be in The Gorge. Each issue features articles about the people, places and things, the variety and abundance of experience that make those who live here and those who visit feel at once both ownership and an urge to share this place.

We have chosen The Gorge Magazine as our main source for print advertising because it works for us. We have had visitors from Portland come in with the magazine in hand, open to our ad, point and say..."I want this". We love it when that happens!

I love everything about The Gorge Magazine: the stories, the photography, and especially the diverse writers, photographers and viewpoints. I discover a new reason to fall in love with our beloved community in every issue. As the owner of a small business in the Gorge, I am very careful of how I spend my advertising budget. The Gorge Magazine has always been at the top of my list and meets my high standards of quality, fair pricing, impact and reach!

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with and advertising in The Gorge Magazine. It’s one of the most beautiful publications we’ve seen in circulation and we highly recommend working with their talented team!

The Gorge Magazine is a beautifully designed, informative magazine, which appeals to visitors and locals alike. The level of writing and photography is exceptional and the content engages readers with colorful details about the area, the businesses, and the people. The magazine bridges the very best of what makes this community special to those who live here and those who visit. As a small local company, we feel our advertising dollars are well spent and our business benefits from the visibility it has in such a well-executed publication.

At Celilo Restaurant, we embrace the local bounty of this region. This area literally brings so much to the table and we like to offer our guests a taste unique to the Pacific Northwest. We feel The Gorge Magazine is a great way to reach people who are drawn to this place because of the natural beauty and stay because of the people and community (and good food!). The Gorge Magazine highlights some of the best stories and images of the area, and we’re proud to be part of their effort.
